Laguna Hills, CA, May 5, 2008 – Intec Video Systems, Inc., the originator of commercial vehicle rear vision in the U.S., achieved its ISO 9001:2000 certification of its quality management system. The company provides expanded visibility solutions through its offering of rear and side cameras and integrated radar technology.

Intec Video designs and manufactures rear vision, surveillance and radar systems for buses and transit vehicles; mining and construction vehicles and equipment; pick-up/delivery and over-the-road trucking; recreational vehicles; refuse, fire and rescue vehicles; and trucks. Since 1978, Intec Video has pioneered the rear vision camera industry. With a wide field of view, in both color and black-and-white versions, operators can easily observe previously hidden areas surrounding their vehicle. Intec's safety camera systems are tested to withstand vehicle generated and environmental conditions, extending their product life cycle.

Working closely with its ISO consultant, Change Management Consulting, the company's quality management system at its Laguna Hills, California facility was found to be in compliance with the high standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) after a rigorous Registrar audit. Intec Video now intends to gain ISO certification of its Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania facility.

“Our achievement of ISO 9001:2000 certification in the Laguna Hills headquarters facility demonstrates Intec’s focus on providing the highest quality products to our customers, and our entire team’s dedication to quality and to the safety camera industry,” states Donald Nama, president. “The certification reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and to meeting our customers' quality requirements,” adds Dino Nama, vice president of technical services.

The company also expects enhanced efficiency in meeting customer expectations as a result of standardized manufacturing and quality assurance processes. ISO 9000 is an internationally recognized standard that often boosts business for suppliers from organizations that demand and respect adherence to ISO’s stringent quality policies.

"Intec Video represents a growing trend among manufacturers to embrace formal quality management standards," states Stanley Cherkasky, CMC's managing partner. "They have demonstrated that making quality management an intricate piece of the manufacturing process pays huge dividends for everyone's bottom line - customers and manufacturers alike. We are pleased to lend our ISO 9001 expertise to help a company of Intec Video's caliber standardize their quality policies and procedures. I know this achievement will yield considerable benefits in reduced costs, added revenue and customer satisfaction for them."
